RoboRobo, Inc. of South Korea donates robotics kits

RoboRobo, Inc. of South Korea donates robotics kits worth $20K+ to the College of Education for use by faculty and teachers of area high schools. Prof. Ikseon Choi in the department of career and information studies is the lead investigator in this effort.

New Faculty of Robotics member

Prof. Changying “Charlie” Li, an agricultural engineer and roboticist, joins the Faculty as its newest member. Details on his research interests are available here. We welcome Prof. Li to the Faculty of Robotics.

Faculty of Robotics announces a RFP for its Core Robotics Research Grant program.

The Core Robotics Research Grant program (CR2G) of the Faculty of Robotics at UGA aims to fund research investigations with a strong robotics component and of the highest quality. The program will fund 3-4 projects each at the level of $10K-$12K over a period not exceeding two fiscal years beginning FY 14. The goal is to provide funding for the critical resources that a project requires in order for the research to produce strong (preliminary) outcomes that would make it competitive for extramural funding.
